2. Melbourne to Sydney Drive (Mountains and East Coast)

This road trip combines gorgeous beaches and wildlife with the culture and museums of Canberra, the cheese, wine, local food, antiques and charming country towns of the Alpine Way and the mountain scenery and summit hikes of the Kosciuszko National Park. 10. Melbourne to Cairns (Coast, Outback and Tropics)

This epic road trip begins on the Great Ocean Road (road trip #3) and circumnavigates Australia along the spectacular and unpopulated coastlines and forests of Perth, north to Broome, across the outback to Darwin before finally arriving in the tropical city of Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
